I LOVE colors, shapes and opposing energies. I select my colors based not only on their hue but also by their potential interaction with other colors. The conflict or collaboration between colors brings out the emotion of a painting. In my painting “The Message II” I wanted to highlight the conflict between two opposing forces such as light and dark, hot and cold, or wet and dry such as desert and lake. I then add shapes and figures to orchestrate and enhance the conflict. I love the feelings expressed in “The Message II”.
