Having grown up in Long Beach, California, the fate of the Queen Mary has been in peril for decades as repair costs surpass its income. I was inspired to paint her under dubious clouds and name the piece "God Save The Queen Mary" as a nod to the Sex Pistol's song that ends with the phrase, "no future, no future for you."
